Overview

The Anglo-Nubian goat is a British breed of domestic goat. The Anglo-Nubian goat has a short, glossy coat which can appear in a variety of colours including chestnut, fawn, black, white, and cream. They are easily identified by their upright stance, large nose, and long, drooping ears.

The breed was established when British goats were bred with those of African and Indian origin.

Distribution: This domesticated species can be found worldwide but is native to Britain
Habitat: Can live in hot climates, but they prefer to graze in fields in temperate climates
Height: 81cm for does and 94cm for bucks
Weight: Males up to: 140 kg and females up to: 110 kg
Lifespan: 10 -15 years
Threats: Not currently threatened.

The Anglo-Nubian goat is able to easily adapt to hot climates which has resulted in demand for them across the world.
